How to Color Epoxy

Dyeing your epoxy is simple and easy to do. A few steps are required to create magical colored epoxy. Prepare your workspace and gather your epoxy accessories and safety equipment. Wear gloves, a mask, goggles, and protective clothing. You’ll need mixing cups and stir sticks. Use the mixing cups to individually mix each colorant with the resin A component. Then add the appropriate amount of hardener B to each mix. Do not color the hardener alone. The resin and hardener should be mixed at a 2:1 ratio. Mix until the mixture is streak-free. Stir through the bottom and each of the mixing cups as resin or hardener will settle there. Transfer the mixture to a clean mixing cup and mix again to ensure both components have properly combined with one another. You have the freedom to adjust the color intensity by adding more or fewer colorants. Now you’re ready to start designing with the colored epoxy! Refer to our coloring guide found under the instructions for use of each epoxy resin kit.
